Tanzanian PDPA Compliance

Elimunity is deeply committed to the Tanzanian Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) of 2022. We process your information under the following legal bases:

Consent-Driven Processing

We only collect data that you explicitly provide during registration or through active use of our AI features. You can withdraw this consent at any time.

Data Residency

Consistent with TZ law, we prioritize secure storage and implement strict safeguards when data must be processed by international AI partners.

AI Data Handling

Because Elimunity utilizes Large Language Models (LLMs) to generate notes and quizzes, we have designed a specialized privacy architecture:

Anonymization Layer Before passing your study materials to AI processors, we attempt to strip out sensitive personal identifiers (PII) to ensure your privacy is maintained during synthesis.
Non-Training Agreement We utilize enterprise-grade APIs where we request that your data is never used to train the global foundational models of our third-party AI providers.
Knowledge Ownership You retain 100% ownership of your uploaded intellectual property. The AI-generated summaries are yours to use, export, and delete.

Global Data Rights

We extend the highest standards of the GDPR (Europe) and CCPA (California) to all our users, regardless of their physical location.

Access & Portability

Request a full export of your learning history and AI interactions in a machine-readable format.

Right to Erasure

Close your account and we will delete your personal data from our active servers within 30 days.

Rectification

Easily correct any inaccurate personal or academic information stored in your profile.

Opt-Out Rights

You have the right to opt-out of non-essential data collection and we never sell your data to third parties.

Kids' Privacy

Elimunity is an educational tool, but we take the safety of minors seriously. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 without verifiable parental or institutional consent. If we detect unauthorized data from a minor, it is purged immediately.
